Duchenne is a catastrophic, progressive muscle wasting disease that effects one in 3500 boys. Girls can have it to, but its rare. It robs the boys of their ability to walk, breath, eat and speak. And eventually takes their life, often by age 20. It leaves their minds unaffected.

Hello. I just wanna tell that my son, is 26, nearly 27 years old, and he is living a good life. And he is living it full out! I just wanna tell, because I used so many years to live in pain, and sorrow, just waiting for he to leave us, and after a several of years, I started living again, and our lives were so much better. I am from Norway, so please forgive me if I use wrong words, my engish is not so strong..:-)
