*THRIVE* In the Face of Duchenne or Other Life Threatening Disease
A Healing Workshop…
I designed this workshop with the parent who is facing a life threatening disease of a child in mind, although anyone in this situation would benefit…
My aim is to offer tips, advice and support based on my 14 years experience with my own child and family as we face Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I know first hand how hard life can be with the added pressure of facing death at the back door everyday.
I know you worry about:
- The Future
- Not Making Mistakes
- Being the “Rock”
- Providing the Best Quality of Life
- How you are Going to Survive
- Yourself, Your Other Children/Significant Other
Guess What? These feelings are all NORMAL! However being “stuck” isn’t. You can’t survive at least not well under this kind of stress. You must find ways to cope.
But How Misty?
