When Luke was emitted to hospital last September after losing 20 or so pounds from the Flu & pneumonia  we were told he was most likely going to have long term respiratory damage and to start thinking about a tracheotomy (a whole in the neck for a breathing tube to be inserting in his lungs) it was clear to me I had to write that book I had always wanted to about Duchenne, I also knew I wanted to be able to give the book to Luke for a graduation present, that meant I only had 8 months to both write and publish. And guess what I did it in the nick of time! Now the book is available for order which means it is time to do my FIRST EVER BOOK SIGNING !

As for Luke he worked his butt off with the respiratory team and improved his lung function to better than even before he was sick.  I still get chills remembering the fight Luke put in, such determination, such bravery and resilience!
